apna-ai ("the app," "we," "us") is a voice-first personal manager for you and your household, operated by TGovern LLC. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the controls you have. It applies to the iOS and Android apps and related services, offered in India.

Voice sessions are processed in real time by our service providers. Depending on the language and region of your session these are Sarvam AI (speech recognition and speech synthesis for Indian languages), xAI (speech understanding and responses) and LiveKit (realtime audio transport). These providers process audio on our behalf to deliver the conversation and are not permitted to use it for their own advertising. Conversations may be processed by automated systems to personalize your assistant.
Responses in the app are generated by artificial intelligence. They may be inaccurate and are not medical, legal, or financial advice. The assistant is designed to decline those topics and refer you to a professional.
We share data only with service providers needed to run the app: Amazon Web Services (storage and infrastructure), Sarvam AI, xAI and LiveKit (voice), RevenueCat and Stripe, Apple or Google Play (billing), and Expo (push notifications, if enabled). Each processes data on our behalf under contractual limits. We may disclose data if required by law.
On a family plan, some content (like shared events and tasks) is visible to your family members. Your assistant's memory about you and your private items are not shared with other members.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Transcripts are retained up to 90 days; other data is retained until you delete it or your account. Backups are purged on a rolling basis.
We'll update this page and change the effective date when the policy changes. Material changes will be announced in the app.
